Run to the Finish Line

So with 2 feet of snow on the ground here in DC, you'd think this would be the prefect time to put away the running shoes and settle down with a cup of Hot Chocolate -- Wrong! Time to get out the door for some winter adventure. After digging into my closet for rarely-seen gear, I was ready: I had my waterproof socks, trail runners, Yak-Trax, and multiple layers of clothing. And though I was slowed to a crawl at some points as I picked my way through the drifts, I had a great time! And that's my message for the new year: don't let less-than-ideal conditions deter you; treat everything like an adventure and make it all fun. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
